THERMO-ADHESIVE COATINGS & HOT MELT LAMINATION SERVICES

At Lancashire Sock we have the facility to add Thermo-Adhesive coatings to the back of materials whether pre-laminated or single ply. These adhesive coatings are later re-activated by heat to form durable strong bonds to a variety of secondary substrates particularly in the footwear and apparel markets. The adhesive type and deposition weight can be varied to take account of temperature requirements where heat sensitive materials are being bonded to or, for example, if "oily" leather or PVC is being used. These adhesives can be washable and/or dry cleanable and in some circumstances can be cross linked to form bonds of very high durability.

In addition to washable and breathable adhesive coatings we can also offer a hot melt lamination service on textiles, foams, foils and PVC's both in rolls or sheets at widths up to 2000mm using the adhesive classes as above applied as powder web or film. We can offer you a confidential bespoke service as your contract laminator and we are also able to produce samples as small as A4 size or just a few metres on our machines for your initial approval.
